P2P News: Robocash adjusts interest rates

CW 04 – Top #3 P2P News: Robocash adjusts interest rates, “P2P lending” at finfellas and new LO on Income

Robocash investors should read it, as the platform adjusts their interest rates; finfellas hosts event on P2P lending and Income has a new LO – that is what I want to talk about this week!

Welcome to my latest P2P News.

#1 Robocash adjusts interest rates

We have seen it over the last month. So the news of dropping interest rates is not really “new” to the P2P industry. This week there has been an adjustment at Robocash, one of my favourite platforms at the moment.

Until now the minimum on the auto-invest was 10%. As Robocash is now offering also short-term with a 9% interest rate there is the need to adjust it. Especially those of you, who are more or less focussing on the short-term loans on the platform should think about the adjustment. Otherwise there is the chance of cashdrag.

Personally I will not adjust the auto-invest. First of all my personal interest rate target is 10% but more importantly I would like to check secondly what this do to my current auto-invest. If my money will still be invest and there is no cashdrag, I am pretty cool with not adjusting the auto-invest at the moment.

If want to know more about the platform, please check my Robocash Review.

#2 Finfellas event on P2P lending

From 26th to 28th finfellas hosted another event. This month it was about P2P lending and trend where it will maybe head to over the next years. I had the honour to join Sergei Demchuk from Debitum Network on stage asking him some questions about his presentation. This has been very interesting as Debitum is a regulated platform and has a very interesting concept to provide loans for investors in the future.

During Thursday and Friday there will be panel on the question how P2P platforms and P2P marketplaces can save their investors from losses. On stage there will be a big variety of companies out of the P2P industry like Kimmo from Income Marketplace, Anastasija from Twino, Sergei from Debitum again and many more.

If you want to join the event, register here – it is for free! The next finfellas event will be in the last week of March on the topic of “Real Estate”.

#3 New LO on Income Marketplace

Following the way of Income is fun. Currently I do not have a big investment here, but as the number of new loan originators continue to come, it gets more and more an interesting P2P platform.  During the finfellas event I had the chance to listen to the CEO Kimmo from Marketplace. I was impressed by his experience and more importantly the way he tries to solve the wellknown problems from the P2P industry on his platform.

But let’s focus on this weeks news: Vivus Mexico will join the platform. The loan originator operates in Latin America and pleased 800.000 customers over the last six years. That is quite an impressive number. Vivus Mexico belongs to 4Finance, which is a well-known company in the P2P scene.

When I was writing about Income as a new platform I mentioned, that it looked like there have not been enough loans to please all investors. So Income is doing a huge job to onboard new loan originators under their conditions and grow the numbers of loans on the platform.

Up to you – What is relevant for you?

Personally there were only good news this week. Yes, also Robocash with lower interest rates is a good news. From my point of view this shows that the platform has a feeling for the market. Interest rates are dropping everywhere, so it is great to know that investors have the chance to invest at 9% – instead of cash-drag.
